Question 1: Is it proper for me as a lady who is highly educated and blessed to marry someone who is not up to my standard?
Answer: I don't know what you mean by your standard, but all I will keep saying is that you cannot compare anything to GOD'S perfect will for your life. Some ladies have missed the will of God for THIER lives because of what they have and have achieved in life. Some are well read, have built houses, have cars, travelled abroad and have all THIER heart desire. Some are even the bread winner in their families and people look up to them. They are always in charge and no one could control them because of what they have acquirers. As a result of their achievement such ladies begin to look down on any men who are not up to their standard, and despise them, forgetting the fact that they will soon leave the flowery stage. Reality always dawn on them latter when they notice their mates are getting married or when the children of their junior sister or brother begin to call them aunties. It is then they will realize that men are no longer coming like before and they begin to run around from pillar to post for prayer from men of God for husbands. Sisters, there is time for everything, Ecclesiastes 3:1-2,6 KJV. Vs1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Vs2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted. Vs6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away.
Many sisters have missed their God given husbands because of pride, and they are now on waiting list and mercy of God. What do you have that you have not been given and if you have been given by God ,why then are you full of pride looking down on everyone as if they don't have future. All your family members who are enjoying your wealth and position will soon begin to make jest of you and asking you to look for someone to settle with.
Don't wait until then, but think about your future and your life because there is always time for everything under the sun. Don't miss your time but Seize this moment when the flower is still blossoming. When everybody is eager to touch the flower and to smell the Saint coming out of the flower. That is the time you will now pray to know the perfect will of God and be ready to choose according to his will.
Proverbs 31:23 KJV Vs23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
The woman was well endowed, blessed and very rich, but she used her influence to raise the man. She humble herself before God and the man, she put the blessing where it supposed to be and she refused to be controlled by those blessings and riches. With humility and wisdom of God, she build her home and raised her husband from nothing to become one of the elders in the city. That is what you should do if you are blessed by God as a woman. Go to God for wisdom to build your home. You need wisdom to build your home, The home is not the building, but the man and the children. You are to build them, assist and help them to fulfill their destinies. That is your first ministry as a woman and wife. You are created to help. If you fail in that home you fail in all even in the ministry. Every ministry have challenges, you may be face with one but with the wisdom of God you will overcome. Proverbs 31:30 KJV Vs30 Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord , she shall be praised. With the wisdom of God you will play your role in their lives. That man can rise so high with you beside him like the husband of the virtuous woman in Proverb. Deborah would not have been a judge and a mother in ISREAL if she failed in her home. She was first a mother and a wife to her husband before she could be allowed to forge ahead in the ministry. Humble yourself, obey God and work in humility, don't be controlled or lose your head by your accumulation of degrees or wealth, they cannot give you the real thing you need and you cannot buy a sensible man with all that. You need peace, good companion and warm, you need a God home, and wonderful children which money or affluence cannot buy or give you. But God can give you all these when you obey him and ready to accept with humbly whoever he is leading you to marry with joy and thanks giving.
In conclusion, there is nothing bad or improper in getting married to someone who does not fit into your high standard as long as the man is the perfect will of God for your life. Don't despise him so you will not regret latter. Written By Gloria.
